I contacted Craig to be my Personal Trainer as I wanted to lose weight and get fit for a forthcoming skiing holiday. Previous attempts on my own had failed after about 2 weeks!
Not having used a PT before I was slightly nervous as I felt very unfit and a bit self conscious, but Craig instantly made me feel at ease. He takes time to explain and demonstrate each exercise properly, and corrects me as we go along, making me feel confident and comfortable with what I am doing. He initially created a training programme that enabled me to improve at a slow and steady pace, which actually made me enjoy working out, rather than dreading each session, as it felt relatively easy. There is always variation and progression in what we do to keep me interested and motivated, and can honestly say that I now love exercising, particularly the boxing and running.
All the exercises that Craig sets me can be done at home, rather than the gym, which is perfect for me as I can easily fit them round work and family life. It gives me quite a strange sense of achievement to have done a work-out before I go to work, and I definitely have more energy in the day.
After completing the first six week programme with Craig I was so pleased to see the difference in my weight, body fat and overall fitness levels and delighted to have achieved all the goals we had set together. It was particularly good to be able to fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes again after moaning about it for the last 2 years!
I feel like I am progressing all the time and in a few months I have gone from doing no running at all, to having taken part in a 10 kilometre and a 5 mile race, and I have recently joined a local women’s running club. Craig has now planted the idea in my head of me doing a half marathon in October, which actually doesn’t seem such a scary prospect anymore!
I couldn’t be happier with Craig as my choice of Personal Trainer; he is very knowledgeable, professional, and focused on his clients. I highly recommend him.
